Most people who go through the process of writing a personal essay will end up having to make several different decisions about the topic and the length of the essay.A good idea when writing a personal essay is to take all of the ideas that you have, along with a concept that will be reflective of you, and then work to turn them into a coherent story. It will help to check with people who have written similar essays and see how long they wrote theirs. This is a great way to get ideas about what to write about, and it will also give you ideas about where to go from there. It will be a good idea to start with your topic first, as this will give you a clear idea of what you want to write about and what to write about. Then, once you have your topic, you can start working on the length of the essay. Always keep in mind that the longer the essay is, the more attention you will receive.
Dilemma - How to Solve Your Dissertation Writer Problems
Dilemma - How to Solve Your Dissertation Writer ProblemsThere are many different things that can go wrong with a dissertation writer. I am going to be discussing some of the problems that they can have and which are the best solutions to resolve these problems.I know this sounds obvious, but if you ever get hold of your own dissertation, there is one major problem that you will find yourself facing, especially if you are like most writers. You will write the first draft in about two weeks time. So if you don't take a bit of time to sort out your dissertation you could spend a lot of time rewriting it, which will then cause more problems. The thing you have to remember when you have writing problems is that if you cannot solve them, they cannot happen. This applies to writers who are dissatisfied with their work, or those who are finding it difficult to concentrate on what they are writing. The only way that this can occur is if you put them off for too long and it causes them to re-wr ite your dissertation. When you are stuck with a problem, the first thing you have to do is think about what the problem actually is. If it is something that you really don't understand, the most logical thing to do is to talk to a teacher. Although it may seem like a waste of time, there are some teachers who will give you really good advice. These days, a student can easily get hold of their local library to search for any information they need to write about. The second step that you should take after sorting out the problem is to get a dissertation writer. You should then have someone who can help you with your writing problems. The other thing that you need to do is to ensure that you give yourself a limit to write about certain things. If you go into too much detail, then it will just make it more difficult for yourself to write about certain aspects. You could also consider hiring a professional who can write a great book or paper for you, but in order to achieve this you must be very clear about exactly what you want in your book or paper. If you are not clear, then you will end up writing a thing that you are not proud of. So get a dissertation writer so that you can focus on your work instead of spending all your time writing.

Consuming Kids A Nation That Is Founded On The Creation...
Sherri McClanahan SOC ââ¬â 210 ââ¬â I3 Instructor: John Allen October 13, 2014 Consuming Kids In America In a nation that is founded on the creation of capitalism, it is no wonder that kids have become the target for advertisers after the Vietnam and Korean wars. The baby boomers grew up in a time of unprecedented change such as the most achievement in the feminist movement, the assassination of JF Kennedy, and the end to segregation. Therefore, it is no surprise to me, a child born in 1970 that advertisers would see their pockets filling up and flooding over when they looked at children of the baby boomer generation. There is no guide given to parents on how to raise a child. In fact, many parents use their own personal experiences while theyâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦When the consumers went to the government asking for assistance to prevent psychological games on our children, the government sided with the big wealthy corporations. These corporations are going to make money and accomplish this without exploiting our children. I believe in a capitalistic country and we are so intel ligent we can make money without exploiting our children. However, it also is the responsibility of parents to be logical and be able to parent their children. A child learns not to touch a stove because it is hot at a very young age just as they learn that if I cry loud enough, they get what they want. If a parent can teach their child that a stove is hot, a parent can teach a child that they canââ¬â¢t cry to get their way without spanking. I know this for a fact; my younger son at the age of ten had become a child that would ask for candy every time we went into a store. I had not realized that I had allowed him to expect this. When I realized this with the help of a close friend, I started telling him no. At first, it was embarrassing as he yelled or cried in public about not getting his candy. However, within several months, he learned that I was not giving in to his stunts and he was not getting candy at all. He is now seventeen and has many times told me how thankful he is that I changed his behavior when he was younger. He has even apologized numerous times for being a handful when he was ten and

King Jewels Ethical Leadership in Practice free essay sample
Ethical Leadership in Practice Discuss how the leadership style may have contributed to unethical behavior. In the world of greed, I think people tend to forget what the words leadership mean. Leadership means being a good role model for your peers, being able to guide, lead and direct them in the right direction. In the case of King Jewels Clement Tam failed to do so because he let his power take over he responsibility to be a great leader for the company. King Jewels was just a mom and pop jewel store owned by Andy Wong and his wife for 20 years during the 1985.The business later expanded from Hong Kong to China in the 1990ââ¬â¢s. Sells had been booming in the last ten years. According to Mr. Wong a good vision and direction were critical leadership qualities. Mr. Wong always said, ââ¬Å"You do not achieve commitment to, or an understanding of, a companyââ¬â¢s vision and mission without actively pursuing and practicing it at every opportunityâ⬠. We will write a custom essay sample on King Jewels: Ethical Leadership in Practice or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This statement is very powerful meaning you should live up to your business vision and mission statement on a everyday basics(The McGraw-Hill Companies, 2008).Wong had a vision on how he wanted his company to expand over time. So, he hired his close friend and right hand man Clement Tam who was primary responsible for worldwide gem sourcing. He also was both operations director (overseeing the whole company) and head of the sourcing department. Tam Wai Man who was Tamââ¬â¢s sister was the accountant for the company. Chan Ming was head of business services including wholesale and retail businesses. Lastly, Jonathan Ho, head of production and authentication, he was in charge of the companyââ¬â¢s manufacturing operations and gems authentication in China.Ho was known for his efficiency and decisiveness, and occasionally criticized by his staff for having a dictatorial leadership style and making decisions without consulting his colleagues (The McGraw-Hill Companies, 2008). Everyone has their own way of leadership style but when in powerful positions you should always be the one to follow policies and procedures because in the long run it can cost you problems in the end. Discuss how the proper segregation of duties could have prevented Tam from fraudulently sourcing the gems. I think Mr. Wong went wrong for hiring his right hand man and so forth. The whole senior management for this company is either family or friends. This can create a hostile working environment if they every get into a conflict at work or outside of work, which is not good for the business. I think if the proper segregation of duties were put into play I think it still would have been potential fraud involve. My reasons for saying this is because Mr. Ho is known for his style of leadership so even if the gems went though the proper process he had the final say in with gems were to be picked. Mr. Ho is known for making decisions with consulting with his colleagues. So, overall I think so fraudulent activity would have went down one way or another. Discuss the companyââ¬â¢s compensation plan contributed to the deceptive behavior. In this particular business the cash flow was booming. Everyone was buying jewelry from teens to elderly people. Their biggest cliente was women of all ages. I being a woman myself do know that women love to shop for nice things jewelry being one of them. This company was making billions of dollars so I can only imagine that the pay and annual bonuses were nice as well. Like I said earlier people will do anything possible for greed.Even if the employees were aware that fraudulent activity was taking place I donââ¬â¢t think any of them would have been whistle blowers because of the compensation they were getting off the companyââ¬â¢s profits. Discuss how the culture may have influenced the employeeââ¬â¢s attitude towards exposing Tam. In the Chinese culture in many ways the family unit takes precedence over its individual members. Children must learn not to answer back to their parents or other elders. It is assumed that the family as a whole will thrive and prosper if harmony prevails at home. In other words the basic rules of obedience, moderation and self-restraint amongst family members should be observed Chinese Values). In most cultures children are taught not to disrespect parents or elderly people. In Chinese culture they are very family oriented they believe in sticking together like most cultures do. But other cultures only believe in lokking out for self and not as a whole. Once one person get little bit of power they low down on others instead of having the next person out to get were they are.In other words the the employees could have been teenagers working part-time making the jewelry and because respecting parents and elderly is real big in the Chinese culture; they may been afraid to tell on Tam. It seems like in the Chinese culture if you put your family to shame then you will be punished for behavior. How would you recommend Wai Man proceed? I recommend that she do further investigation on her brother and uncle. Once, she has enough evdience she take the evidence to Mr. Wong. From there Mr. Wong should notify the board so they can do their own investigation on the company as a whole.

Free Essays on Two Directions For America
Americans face a critical decision about the direction of our country, not just in 2004 but for the long term. One is the conservative path for America: tax breaks for the wealthy that do little for the middle class while saddling us with massive debt; government by and for corporations that is indifferent to the struggles of everyday families; and a radical and destabilizing foreign policy that has overburdened our military and left our nation less secure. The other is a progressive path for America: Middle class tax breaks, affordable health care, and increasing economic opportunities to help the middle class. The progressive path for America is one that believes every American should have the opportunity to make the most of their lives given their talents and ambitions. Government has an important role in helping people reach their potential by promoting good paying jobs at home, supporting affordable health care for all, and providing quality education as the foundation of an increasing quality of life. Honest and fair government that puts the needs of citizens above all else. The progressive path honors our democratic values by focusing on what is right and necessary for all Americans, not just those with high paid lobbyists and political or financial clout. And a strong and measured foreign policy that fights our enemies everywhere and earns respect for American values and intentions. As former President Clinton stated earlier this week, "Strength and wisdom are not opposing values." America must relentlessly hunt down and eliminate fundamentalist extremists who aim to destroy our way of life. But in doing so, we must uphold our basic values, honor our international allies and prove to the world that the American way is a just and righteous way toward global security.... Male Sexuality in Ancient Rome
Male Sexuality in Ancient Rome Modern sexuality offers a two-tiered dichotomy based on sexual preference. A homosexual is characterized by his exclusive sexual preference for same-sex relationships. Similarly, a heterosexual favors exclusive sexual relationships with members of the opposite sex. Ancient sexuality, on the other hand, finds its basis in status. The active partner, i.e. the partner of a higher social status, assumes the role of the penetrator; whereas, the passive partner, i.e. the partner of inferior social status, takes on the penetrated position.(www.princeton.edu/~clee/paper.html) - Malakos Our modern preoccupation with sexuality has depended on a distinction between homo- and hetero-. That gender-changing operation and other, less dramatic transgender behavior are blurring our neat borders should help us understand the very different Roman attitudes. Today you can have a lesbian who was born a man and a gay male who was born a woman or a male in prison who behaves in ways that to the outside world appear homosexual, but to the prison, ââ¬â¹theà community does not, alongside the more traditional homosexual, bisexual, and heterosexual roles. How Did the Romans See Gender? Instead of todays gender orientation, ancient Roman (and Greek) sexuality can be dichotomized as passive and active. The socially preferred behavior of a male was active; the passive part aligned with the female. The relation between the active and passive partner is thought of as the same kind of relation as that obtaining between social superior and social inferior. - Malakos But before I go further, let me stress: this is an oversimplification.à To Be an Ancient Roman Male in Good Standing ...Walters makes a crucial distinction between males and men: Not all males are men, and therefore impenetrable. In particular, he refers to the special nuance of the term vir, which does not simply denote an adult male; it refers specifically to those adult males who are freeborn Roman citizens in good standing, those at the top of the Roman social hierarchy those who are sexually impenetrable penetrators Craig A. Williams Bryn Mawr Classical Review of Roman Sexualities And... ... since the concepts heterosexual and homosexual did not exist, but there does seem to be a high degree of correlation between the conduct of men identified as cinaedi and that of some men now labeled homosexuals, though it must be appreciated that the modern term is clinical while the ancient one is emotional and even hostile, and that both have been imposed from outside. Richard W. Hoopers Bryn Mawr Classical Review of The Priapus Poems To be an ancient Roman male in good standing meant you initiated penetrating acts of sex. Whether you did this with a female or a male, slave or free, wife or prostitute, made little difference as long as you were not on the receiving end, so to speak. Certain people were off-limits, though, and among them were free youths. This was a change from the Greek attitude which, again to simplify, condoned such behavior in the context of a learning environment. The ancient Greek education of its youth had begun as training in the arts necessary for battle. Since physical fitness was the goal, education took place in a gymnasium (where physical training was in the buff). Over time the education came to encompass more academic parts, but instruction in how to be a valuable member of the polis continued. Often this included having an older male take a younger (post-pubescent, but still unbearded) one under his wing with all that entailed. Although later Romans sometimes asserted that homosexuality was imported from Greece, by the close of the 6th century B.C.E, Polybius reported, there was widespread acceptance of homosexuality [Polybius, Histories, xxxii, ii]. Lesbian and Gay Marriages For the ancient Romans, who claimed to have adopted other passive behaviors from the ancient Greeks, free youths were untouchable. Since adolescents were still appealing, Roman males gratified themselves with youthful slaves. Its thought that in the baths (in many ways, successors to the Greek gymnasia), freedmen wore a talisman around their necks to make it clear their naked bodies were untouchable.
